The Pianist, which was directed by a real holocaust survivor Roman Polanski, tells a story of how Wladyslaw Szpilman survived the holocaust. There is more than just seeing him survive but its how others around him were treated during the nazi germany era. Its a touching movie and does contain some graphic scenes. Watch that shit, its a hit!
Another movie that is really off the subject is The Professional. This is yet another survival movie (lol) but this time its a little girl with a grown ass man. Luc Besson makes a hit with this action-drama themed movie starrin Jean Reno and Natalie Portman (which is her debut film). I never get tired of watching this movie as it is filled with intensity and dramatic scenes. Natalie doesnt fail to be a badass little girl in this movie and thats why i love it.
The last movie i recommend as you might call a chick flick. Though i wouldnt know why i just dont get tired of it. The Devil Wears Prada brings forth the life of an aspiring writer who becomes the assistant, Anne Hathaway, of a world renown Miranda Priesley CEO of Runway. Meryl Streep plays the biggest bitch one can even think of and thats what i love about the movie. I wont kill much into detail but just watch the goddamn movie and youll like it. Even my older brother liked the movie.
